·Jaz···
my greatest inspiration turned out not to be a song, but a little boy. He keeps me pretty busy. He's growing fast and getting big, strong and about to outsmart his old man
·Music···
After nearly two years on break, music is fun again. It had all gotten away from me and I lost that which got me started in the first place. I'm getting back in slowly, just by myself, playing to an audience of none. Maybe I'll share sometime soon...
Here we go again, 2004 is upon us. With it comes what might be a very short performance. My good friend Josh Rifkind puts on an amazing week of music. The variety of local songwriters and bands is mind blowing. I'll be playing at 8:45 p.m. on Monday, August 16, 2004
Say goodbye to this website...
·..and hello to the new one···

“ New site on its way”
I am about to install a weblog so this can become even easier to manage and maintain. I will be researching this phenominon called "pod-casting" and plan to set one up either from here or from some suitable source in the not so distant future.
·Red Bull Music Labs···

“ This stand out tune is the most unique, resembling an enchanting rock song embedded in electronica”
I was fortunate enough to participate in the Red Bull Music Labs electronic music workshop. enough to make mention of my performance: Red Bull Music Labs.com - (first, turn off the site music by clicking the power button near the top of the red bull website). Click on Sessions. On the juke box near the right, there is a drop down, select city. Select Atlanta. Then scroll down to find Rusty Zarse. Lorin was kind enough to say, of my song, "This stand out tune is the most unique, resembling an enchanting rock song embedded in electronica"
·The blog is on···
Rusty Zarse's weblog - There is now a blog where information will be fresh, candid and personal. I have to thank Michael Earls for very generousl hosting my blog for a couple years. He has had to convert and move it several times as he went from host to home to host, from dasblog to .text to dasblog... Thanks bud! I think I am ready to break out on my own now. After all, what's the point of spending $15 / mo if you're not going to use it?
I believe you'll hear my style hidden in the electronics. This is what I have been searching for - for so long. I am currently going nuts in my home studio. Music coming very soon... (March 2005 or call me on it)

Music
There are a million things I would like to tell you about but this is a web site, and you don't have that much time! I will assume you came to find out about who I am, why I write music, where I plan to go and possibly, when you can catch a show. There is a bio for those who like to really dig into personal depths of character and psyche. There is a sampling of music and lyrics for those who like to interpret things for themselves. There is a schedule for those who are looking for something to get them out of the house ...and there is a contact button for those who want anything else, please say hello.
By day I park in front of a computer programming websites for the purpose of making other people money. In return they provide me with the funds necessary to raise my beautiful son, born April 27th, 2003, and adequate to allow me the freedom to also pursue music and more soul-enriching endeavors.

“ Music, music, music”
Music has always been my passion and emphatic pursuit. Once upon a time I was not so balanced, not quite ok, and uncertain where in the world I belonged. Music was my savior and outlet for emotion ranging from love to rage. Then it quietly consumed me, the music, the idea of success, and I lost site of where I was going, held on so tight that I choked my creativity and drifted toward a different course than that which my heart was pulling.

“ ...discover the wonderous world I'd forgotten about”
Right when I realized what had been happening and jumped from a shaky train, I met my wife and we drove across America in a VW bus, then across Italy in a VW Golf, and finally turned our attention inward and started a family. The raw inspiration I had missed has returned. Presently, I am cleaning house, catching up on neglected responsibilities and detaching those things which are not worth the cost. Creating a new envronment from which my music can grow. Watching my son discover the wonderous world I'd forgotten about.

“ ...seeking others”
I am presently seeking other musicians to create music with. The ultimate objective is to express our human experience through beautiful melody and energizing rhythem. Seeking those who share an unquenchable passion to play and perform with a light-hearted perspective and aggressive yet positive attitude. Somewhere in the space that hosts Wilco, Radiohead, Tool, Dave Matthews Band, Coldplay and all the other musicians who have created my musical identity is room for yet another, new, creative outlet for inspiration.
Here, I don't know

“ ...can't plan for inspiration”
Surprises are the things that help us break old patterns and cycles. Sometimes we return to our previous habits and habits but sometimes we evolve, grow and change. You can't plan everything. You can't plan for inspiration. You can try but life has a twisted sense of humor and will quickly untie your ribbons and bows. Its not the bows that are important anyway, its what is inside that bundle of twine.

Tips for gettin' 'round the site. Navigation appears on the right (close to the scroll bar). If information is further sub-divided, sliced and diced, you'll see tabs appear at the top for similar distinct pages. The left column will be items of interest and the main meat will lay right down the middle.
